Yes, the fronts are bigger on the GSX than the lower level models...that includes the GS-T, GS, and RS. As for the rear, I believe they are larger than the lower model lines as well.

i keep getting mixed answers about it, so tomorrow i'm gonna call around to a few dealerships and see what they all say. I'm gonna get part numbers and sizes and all that stuff and once I get the answers all straightened out, I'll post it on here.
There is way too much confusion about this subject. I would have thought that this would be as common as 300zx brake swaps on 240s.
and while i'm at it, I'm gonna start working on a decent write up on how to do this swap and any details specific to the different models.
so if you have any info hit me up with it and we'll get it compiled into something more useful

thanks for all of the help guys.

Fernando is actually right.

If you call brothers they will tell you that they have seen idiots put on gsx calipers with gst rotors and the rotor only comes up to half of the brake pad.

Okay, well after compiling all the info that people are "sure" about.....it seems that the fronts and rears are larger on the GSX, than the GST, GS, and RS.

I know for a FACT that the front rotors are definently bigger and the calipers are dual piston.

Also keep in mind, you don't necessarily have to swap out the rears. The rear brakes don't do the amount of work that the fronts do, so it would be more beneficial to swap the fronts. Swap the rears if you wish, as well. You won't really need any more stopping power if it's basically a street car. The GSX front brak setup should be plenty.

Right, we've established that. The part that everyone is confused about is wether or not the GSX rotors are any different than the GS rotors.
According to the dealership, they are the same part. But that doesn't make since why they would do that. put smaller brakes on the GST and the bigger ones on the GS. I've seen manufacturers do funny things, but this one is rather confusing.
When I get off work, I'm doing some phone work and straighten this issue out.

ok, after spending too much time on the phone with two different dealerships...
The GSX front calipers are two piston, and the rotors are 1 inch larger than the other models (all of the other models have the same)
The GSX rear brakes are the same as the rest of the models. single piston caliper, same size rotors.

So the GSX upgrade consists of replaces the front rotors and calipers.

/\

you're talking about the rears?

I tried to tell you that the fronts were bigger on the GSX than all the other models but nooooo you had to go waste a lot of time on the phone.
at least it shows initiative and dedication!
