Lightnings are turds.A evo16g 2g with supporting mods should have no problem with a lightning from a roll.A dig is a different story.....

I can only go off of experienced. Matt can chime in here any time, infact i think he drove the evo in that race. Chipped lightening vs. intake 05 evo: from stop Evo by far, from roll Evo (didn't expect it at all).

And i know that the only real mods i had on my gst when i beat this same evo fro ma roll was exhaust, intake, fuel pump, 14b on 18 lb's.

In conclusion that is why i feel a 14b'd eclipse can take a lightening.

I mean it might have 380 or whatever HP but it also weighs at least 2000 pounds more, am i right? (4700 lbs)

Not downing lightnings but they have in my mind always been over rated as far as speed goes.

Edit: After doing some searching i found that there is an SVT which is the 500 bhp model and a "Lightning Rod" which is 380 bhp. I'm assuming we raced the Rod lol.

they make 480 or so with a pulley i believe ...

the lightnings seem to love digs as much as AWD car's ....

my dad has a lightning, and they are quick trucks but get no traction..

 

My buddy had an 04 Lightning with full exhaust and boost @ 14lbs, I dont know what they are stock. Anyways, he only ran 12.7's with slicks.

 

thats impossible, gsxs are way too fast to even have a close race between anything else. you can beat him on low boost.
