6bolt or 7bolt...
everyone is sayin a 6bolt is kinda getting old... should i get a 7bolt and get the crank nitrated or whateveryone is sayin to do... and get rods and all that... or just get a 6bolt...
not hard to find it.. I've just been scared out of it..
alot of ppl get a miss that needs to be sorted out by AEM, DSMlink and its actually more complicated then you think... lets not forget the grossly low compression..

i have seen decent amount of 6 bolt swaps and have never heard the miss fire that jerry talks about i am sure it happens he has been around alot longer then i have or will be around dsm's
In spoolinspyder's case, he really doesnt need to worry about doing a 6bolt swap because he is auto. The crank doesnt feel the heavy PP as a 5 speed does. Also, swapping a 6bolt into an auto is another chore in itself, and I dont really feel like getting into it. Whoever did his swap obviously didnt know what they were doing and now his tranny is having serious problems. Just make it simple and keep a 7bolt in a 7bolt car.
