In spoolinspyder's case, he really doesnt need to worry about doing a 6bolt swap because he is auto. The crank doesnt feel the heavy PP as a 5 speed does. Also, swapping a 6bolt into an auto is another chore in itself, and I dont really feel like getting into it. Whoever did his swap obviously didnt know what they were doing and now his tranny is having serious problems. Just make it simple and keep a 7bolt in a 7bolt car.

I not sure about the miss fire I only suffered from the miss fire when I had a 1g bottom end with a 2g top end once I put the complete 1g top and bottom it went away I never used dsm link to tune it out I went to aem not because of a miss fire just because its a far superior tune tool for the power I was looking for. We have done several 2g 6bolt swaps and have not had any problems with the miss fire till this day and none of them are using dsm link or aem just afc and some not even that. But this is our opinion everyone has there own opinion on the miss fire as they do on the 6bolt and 7bolt swap

there needs to be a sticky about this so dont fuck this up and make it informative so there wont be these talks which then turn into bitching which then turn into locking/deleting and then finally feelings being hurt.

Weren't you saying somthing about a hyundai bottom end being able to do the job or somthing like that, Dave?

A 1g bottom with 2g top cant possibly cause the misfire code. That has nothing to do with it whatsoever. both heads drive the sensor in the exact same way. There is no difference in the two heads that could cause a code from one and not the other. That is typical bad information that shouldn't even be posted once much less posted and reposted like there was something actually to it. If your going to post such crap, at least give a possible reason why. I would love to here it.

If you have a 7 bolt auto I would keep the 7bolt.
The 2g automatic tranny is much better than the 1g auto.
I have heard of this missfire many times.

I only post what I have done and when I suffer from the miss fire all I did to my car is swap the head and no more miss fire everything else remained the same we also done plenty of 6bolt swaps and 2gs and none of them till this day suffer from that miss fire and none of them are using dsm link or aem just a afc if at that we have done one that wanted to keep his 2g head because he had work done to it and for some reason that one had the miss fire huh that's a coincident also swap the head on his car and no more miss fire that is weird huh but I don't know it just seems to me everyone running the 2g head on the 1g bottom has this miss fire like Aaron's he had the 2g head and 1g bottom and he suffered from this miss fire now his new one we installed with a complete 1g top and bottom does not suffer from this huh again a coincident huh. Like I said I only post it because I have tried it I don't post things I have not tried and that is plenty of reason for me to post it I don't post theory that I have not tried personally
