Port the area around the WG on the hotside of the turbo as well as the O2 housing and you should be able to avoid boostcreep.

With a rewire and a 255 you should be able to run around 17psi on the 14b. You could also try a non-turbo AFPR to get a few more fuel psi. You dont need an SAFC till you get bigger injectors, but it would never hurt. As for the BOV I would just get a 1g crushed if you are pressed for money and get rid of that POS. Im sure you could sell it for 100 bucks to some honda kid.
You should read up on RRE and Bushurs websites for their upgrade paths, they have pretty much been proven time and time again.

I'm running 20 psi with 0 knock and I'm going to try out 21 psi to see if I can eke out another 5-10 hp. Gains get a lot smaller per psi going above 18 psi. But I'm on a decent size front mount. On the sidemount I couldn't push more than 15 psi without getting some knock from heatsoak in 4th gear.
I would keep it at 15 psi until you have a logger and a tuning device, then see if you can get it tuned in at higher boost.
Ender- I don't know if a 1g NT FPR will fit on a 2g. 2g guys, aren't the rails different?

thanks for all the good advice.. I appreciate it. 15psi rewired 255 and a logger and a real MBC is coming my way.
btw if anybody can port a 2g manifold or do the waste gate deal for me I'll pay $$ for a good job.

nice post i gained some unknown info about turbo's man i can't wait till i get my colts motor swap done, 1.6t with 14b turbo from eclipse,450cc injectors,gvr4 fmic, ported 1stgen dsm exhaust mani, 2.0t exhaust cam, manual boost controller,2.5" turbo back, just bought a datalogger from ebay $95 kit + $5 for cradle
i'm lookin for 280hp which should be aquired easily with that set up i have everything but the ic piping,motor and tranny and i have sourced everything so soon soon
