really? did you have a fuel pressure regulator? fernando just had a 255 put on his 97 GS-T by the BROTHERS and he told me that it takes a while for the engine to fire? He also said that once he put a new FPR on it, it would be fine?

Nope the Walbro 255 lph fuel pump was the only fuel system upgrade I had, and it ran perfectly normal. I installed it myself and the only noticable differnce was the whinning noise.

I have the walbro 255 on my eclipse and it takes at most 2 secs of a studder for the car to fire. Nothing that would make you worry.

It wouldn't make a difference.

But anyways i had a 255 and a 190 at one point and I never had any problems like that. Trust me it's no biggie and install it yourself takes like 20 minutes.

the fuel pump install is a breeze. I did it in a 2g FWD - 20 mins tops first time

Its been awhile, but I remember it some thing like this-

remove back seat
remove FP cover
cut a little metal
remove FP unit
take FP off
put new filter screen on new FP
reverse process
push down cut metal
pop in back seat

Seems pretty easy.
