you have no desire to seek answers on your own, or attempt to further educate yourself on DSM's, stick to honda's, you'll be alot happier....and also, if you plan on trying to make a mitsu look anything like your CRX, then you are absolutely banned from even considering owning a mitsu

What i don't get is why the guy would stop cold turkey from driving the car as soon as he found the leak? Honestly, does anyone do that? We all are guilty of continuing to drive till it gets so bad we have to fix it or just fixing it right away. It sounds like you will be getting a car that has been beat on and probably maintianed to the best of his ability, but his ability to maintain the car is no longer there. If i were in your show i would pass and be patient. Good luck.

im stillin big time debate mode, and he has gone through a few trannies in his dsm's so i can kinda understand why he would stop driving it after seeing that leak, were putting a new tranny in today and im gonna test drive it to know for sure.

hes one of the lucky ones that catch it before its too late

this weekend my tcase leaked the oil out of it and locked up while i was driving!

i just replaced it, it wasnt too bad

keep it awd tho, dont go to fwd

id say get the car, its fun when stuff breaks, you learn more about the cars and become less of a car n00b, you wont realize just how big of a newb you were untill you own a dsm for about a year (if you try to do your own work)

and about the 22psi on a 16g, i run 23psi on my 16g daily with almost no knock (took a long time tuning around knock and timing to get the count as low as it is), but i tune it meticulously and keep an eye on the vitals like a hawk

if you take the time out to really tune the car, and the car doesnt have any other problems, you can do it..but i guess tuning tools are important too, i have a vpc and safc

DSM owners are people that hate their pos cars but are too stubborn to get a boring honda that will actually keep its value. I've been a dsmer for maybe 6 months now and i've had mad problems with it even though I have a reliable newer ford as a daily driver.

If you want a turbo car get yourself a nice job and make payments on a subaru impreza or an mitsu evo, they are built 10xs better than dsms ever were (in my opinion).
