10w30 is the stock recommended weight not 20w50. 20w50 is recommended by old school domestic racers that have engines with allot looser tolerances than modern engines like the 4g63

if so your not even takin advantage of the syn.......... you can save sooo much money in one year by not running syn where youll have enogh to do like rings etc....... not saying youll have to but wasteing money sucks for anyone........ theres a nice long thread that Vapor did a lil while ago........ ill find it but he explains it alot better
Sorry, but im not running dirty oil through my turbo. Longer life isnt the only advantage of Syn oil. It creates less friction all the way around. Id rather spend $30 every 3k miles than trash a new turbo due to shitty oil.

but i change my oil every 1.5-2k so .........
Oil is cheap and is the cheapest insuranse your motor has against failure. Remember its not just the motor that uses the oil but the turbo as well. Yes i am very anal about oil changes and spark plugs and so on but i have beat on my car for 2years now with out any major problems. I dont even have a lifter tick problem. There is one lifter that will tick for like 5 seconds when i first start the car but thats it.
