I pulled the back bins out of my FD a few days ago and fixed them with JB weld. Those bitches are as sturdy as a park bench now... I also attempted to fix my driver side door handle but the JB weld didn't hold on that so now I have to buy a new one...

removing the hood will making cutting the underside easier

should look something like this, note I still have a couple of fasteners yet to install and one or 2 I wanna redo, but the latches do currently work just fine

^ why run a CF TII hood? I know they make CF vented hoods that make for better cooling.

Today I tried to fix something else, instead... I broke it, tried to pull out the sunroof and fix it. And like the dash, brute force got me in trouble.

sheet metal and a bit of welding will fix any future problem you could have potentially ever had

LOL.

I actually fixed it with some 1/8"x1" aluminum strip. Its not going to stay like this, but it will keep the water out. While I decide what I want to do with it.
