i bought an 04 rx8 today for $5500. it needs some work but i cant wait to get this thing started. i just can't figure out how to open the trunk so i can get some engine parts lol. and, i found rodents nesting in the engine bay. the car was sitting outside for 2 years. anyone knows how to open the trunk?

Possibly, in the glove box? Or just above the hood latch there may be a button. Not to familiar with rx8 interiors, also check the center console if you have one.

i found it but it does not work. the car has one key that turns the lock but it doesn't start because it needs to be programmed. i also just realized how much room there is in the engine bay for a turbo or a supercharger. very nice.

I found out my rear caliper bracket bolts were loose, one missing. so i fixed that.

I am pretty sure you need to have the key in the ignition, and in the "ON" position for it to work. Makes it so any common thief cannot open it.

That happened to my buddies 240, fucked his wheel and rotor up. Good thing you caught it.

I did some minor wire work, and cleaned up part of my engine bay. I think I have tracked down my draw, just have to lift the motor to get to it.

I also pulled my cruise control shit, and re-routed some vacuum lines to give it a cleaner look.
