While I am a bit confused by the question. there is one solution to expensive JDM parts. "Domestic tuners" Pineapple Racing, Mazdatrix, ETC. ETC. I deal with a lot of them and I can be honest right now parts built in the USA are Fantastically cheap.. and some vendors are willing to negotate, one benefit of a slow economy. and while this applies to the original poster, and everyone. Feel free to call, my advice is free. and perhaps I know of somthing that will work for you. and at a fraction of the cost. and we can help clarify what you need to accomplish your goals.

Thanks
Jeff

If money is a concern, then my friend you picked the wrong platform to start with. Modifying a rotary is ALWAYS.......VERY expensive. There is no way around it, and to get into the 10's in a RX-8 on a budget well....we all have dreams. (Not sure if thats what your going for.) You can drop $4000.00 on a Greddy Turbo Kit and add exhaust and that will net you some fun, but then again, I don't know if you want to spend $4000.00-$5000.00 on a turbo kit and exhaust.

no i think you all have misunderstood me.... by no means to i want nor need to be in the 10's , i was simply saying i dont see the need for juice on a street car. and no i know you all read two lines or so and were like omg fuggin kid! no not at all, i dont want juice as its not all the time power! and treekiller thanks i think you were the only one to read the entire post before judging it . i am just looking for info or direction for parts that wont cost me an arm and a leg! but from what i have read most of the so called performance parts do squat HP wise? also as far as the drunk writing goes im sorry TR english majors, it kept logging me off so after the third time trying to post i just went with that! but to clear things up i dont want, nor plan to run 10's ever ,(been close and seems kinda worthless for a dd) i just want to get the hp up and try to get a little more enjoyment out of my car thats it! but i like to see when i do try to reach out and try to find answers all i get is bashing!

Look man I think everyone misunderstood the guy !He mean't that in the street its commonly heard of 10 sec street cars !Basically thats NOT what he wants nor using nitrous on his Rx8. My answer for your solution is boosting your rx8 not buying a piece of shit greddy kit .Just grabbing research from rx7 club.com and boost your car your self man.If any Q's just pm me if i dont have the answer then I know where to look .

If your English is poor or your from another country that is no problem...but the reason your getting bash is for the amount of slag and stress your putting into your sentences.

All you had to say was "I want to modify my Rx-8 with out using nitrous"

Your best bet is checking out rx8club.com...but seriously you should start out with a 2nd gen or at least a 3rd gen first before deciding to pop a motor on a brand new car.

So what is it that you are actually attempting to accomplish? Try breaking down your sentences a little better so the rest of can understand what you are wanting. We are ALL willing to help out, just be realistic. Prices are expensive for the RX-8 because there is not much aftermarket support for a high numbered build. It is however very common to make it into a "spirited" car.

My suggestions would be as follows:
-full suspension
-bracing
-wheels and tires
-upgraded flywheel and clutch
-intake/header/exhaust

Learn what the car has to offer you with simple bolt on modifications. The car already has decent handling from the factory, the above mods will make it a bit more fun and reliable.
The Greddy kit is decent, but if you are going to buy any kit it will be around 3-4k. If you want to build a basic kit and run 7psi then you should be fine and it could be had for around 1k.

everything said was in good fun, this is how the mazda family works on here. you will fit in just fine. Good luck with your build and make sure to keep us updated with your progress.
