torn in between the two
I am very torn between the s2000 and the rx8. The rx8 only has 125 whp and the s2000 has roughly 200 whp but the rx8 seems to pull away 1st through 3rd gear. My biggest concern is which one handles better and which one is easy to modify. I welcome all opinions

i think the 6spd rx8 has the 232hp. the mid engine rx8 would more likely handle better. i have yet to drive in either one of these cars and yet i wouldn't judge the car by the HP. i gues it depends if u need the back seat?

wow ok let me correct a lot of errors made here starting with the first comment the s2 can't have 237 whp when it has 240 crank hp 20% is lost through d/t. Same goes for the rx8. Now the second comment there is no such thing as a mid engine rx8. It would be very cool if it were and ya it would have amazing handling and there would be no question about it.

well if its handling u want go with the rx8 it has 50/50 weight ratio but unless ur doing some serius track racing i think the s2000 is a better choice plus it has better performance capabilities. but hey thats my opinion.

but aren't the s2000 and rx8 same in handling maby the rx8 a little better because of its structure and the rx8 because of its rotary and its ability to build power like an electric motor

thats y i say go with the s2000 cause the handling is roughly the same.plus avalibility and cost factor of an rx8 build. honda parts are less expensive and easier to find. but if you have the money go for it. plus alot of people consider the rx8 a chick car. but hey its what u like that counts

RX-8s are underpowered, pretty ugly, and got pretty crappy reviews, plus they lack the aftermarket support the S2K has, I'd say go with the S2K
