well, I just got two new ones in the mail yesterday...
i'm hoping to transfer the balance from my old one over to a new one. close the old one out. and use the other new one for something worth while, then use the money I'm getting from selling my motor to pay it off...

thats the plan anyway...

what are you considering for suspension? just replacing whats there or what?

well, I might not completely grasp how your engines work and what not, but suspension is suspension and I know a thing or two... maybe even three...
besides, paper builds are always the best..

The Energy Suspension is top notch stuff, get the black though as it's self lubricating somewhat and less prone to squeeking.
As a bonus when i bought my 91 FC there was a box of the whole suspesion kit sitting in the back.

Hey EC, have you done anything to or any upgrades been done to that FC of yours?
You need to put some pics up in your garage too.

I bought the car almost bone stock. It came with Tokico shocks which aren't much good now after like 4 runs at the track

And a pretty bad welding job for the exhaust, like 6 pieces of 2 and a half inch pipe welded from the cat back to 2 3ARacing mufflers.

I've only had it since November. Trying to get it running right and looking right first before I do much to it. As soon as I get me a daily driver I'm taking the motor out and getting a streetport. That will probably be the extent of what I'm doing to that car

BUT, I have a little project I'm working on. Just gotta get the money for a cheap roller first

As soon as I get a paint job done, I'll def be posting pics of it up. Just have to figure out how to get money to grow on trees first. I know a guy that will get rid of all the rust and body damage before he paints it for $800.

were they the OEM black Tokicos that came with the car originally or Tokico blues?
I've got a set of Illuminas that have held up pretty well so far for the last 3 years of autocross on my 90 GTU.
Depending on your budget I'd either go with KYB AGX's and Racing Beat springs or Tein springs.
Or for a little bit more a set of Stance coilovers.
From what I've experienced the biggest improvement on the car for the money is a good set of tires and then suspension goodies.
Save up for that streetport and then save some more so you can replace

(I should mention right at this point I'm looking to rebuild mine at the end of this season because I have a side seal that just starting to go - blows white smoke and get pressurizatin in the coolant on start from exhaust gasses when the car is cold - so I've been making a list which is why i mention the following)

all the rubber lines for coolant and vacuume
OMP lines
oil cooler lines
nice RB or Corksport header
oil pan baffle
Pineapple Racing oil pan brace
engine torque brace
Banzai racing engine and trans poly mounts
oh dear lord the lit just keeps going

sigh....

They're Tokico blues. Ya, I was leaning more towards a set of coilovers, just haven't given it too much thought yet, as I definetly won't be buying any fun suspension parts for a few months. Or I might as well get something cheap for now since I'm only using this as a dd till I have moolah.

BTW, where is a good place to get a streetport? I heard about Maztech in Tampa, but know nothing about them or if they even do decent work.

i thought the black and red where supposed to be the same... I've always just delt with the red cuz that is what was in stock... and it adds the certain ricey flare...

I like the KYB AGX, Tein spring combo. It had a nice daily driven ride, but still tight enough to handle the corners well.
I've heard ups and downs about the stance coils... how is the ride like? from a daily driven stand point....

gotta love the paper builds...
