Default the new rx-7 just got her home today

payed 500 bucks for the car and i need to finish the swap.. was a auto car now has a 5 speed tranny and 89 car is a 86.. after i do the tranny thing i need to plug all the wires in.. heres pics. muich better then my old car (if anyone seen it ill post pics of it to)

















and now the old car i had about 3-4 years agaio...

My buddy did an auto > 5spd swap on his GXLturbo. Make sure you get some nice "L" bar for the swap, you don't want them twisting in mid launch.

yeah i just found out i gota put the 86 intake on it i guess there diff o well not that hard.. th injectors are round on the 86 and sqare on the 89 and some plugs are diff so im just going to put the 86 intake on it should be running (not driveing but running) tonight maybe tomarow i need someone to tell me if these houseings are good.. they are nice and shiny but there daul in some sports..

Basically you want the same series injectors with the ecu you are using. 86' cars use low impedence injectors where as 88'+ use High impedence. If the car is an 86, you have a solenoid resistor pack behind the passenger headlight. You will need to rewire this resistor so you do not fry your s5 high imp injectors, or you just switch the injectors with some low imp ones 86' or 87' ones.

ok yeah well the injectors are both round and the plugs are sqare... now i see that someone rewired the car.. maybe they had aftermarket injectors? i dono its all wired diff.. and the guy just said it was the stock motor but why would it be rewired. would it be easyer to find a 89 wireing harness or wires the plugs off the 89 motor to the 86 harness?

well seeing as he rewired it why dont you see what ecu you have in their. its under a kick panel underneath the passengers leg area. their will be a metal plate and about 3 bolts holding the plate. just take those off and the ecu lives underneath their.

ok ill godo that but 2 more ecu's came with the car.. ill go out and see what ecu is in it.. but now im really confused cause theres 4 injector wires on the harness.. 2 on the passanger side and 2 on the drivers side.

^ All of those are 86-87 ecu's. Heres a link to RR Rotary Resurrection home of the budget rebuild.
, all the injector information you need to identify them is in there. the "NT" on the page means "non-turbo", if you still have NT injectors in there they will be 460cc's. The Tech section of that website has everything you need to know to get that car running tits. Hope that helps some
