Default fd questions....help im a noob

im really interested in the 93-95 rx7s and i have a few questions. ive done some reasearch on what a rotary engine is and what not. my question is this.....what are the reliable mods i can do to the car without having to up the fuel or get an ecu or retune the car?

Upgraded ast,radiator,all new hose,replace the downpipe to an aftermarket one.. those are pretty big and the biggest one i have done is the Fuel pulsation damper..

And if you have money a Apexi Power Fc computer.

i also heard replacing the stock intercooler is a big thing too. but it said to stay away from fmic.

i would stay away from FMIC if its your daily..Unless you have a kick ass cooling system running top notch even then stop and go traffic still tends to get it going sometimes..I would just go V-mount or bigger stock mount.

any recomondations as to what company to go with as far as bigger stock mounts or v-mounts?

just be prepared to either dish out a lot of money on maintenance and things going wrong, or spend a lot of time working on it yourself if you are very pretty good at working on cars. Keep in mind that even very clean and well taken care of FD's are still at minimum 10 or 11 years old. Things WILL need to be replaced.

thats very true i have a rebuilt motor with 15000 miles on itand i still replaced almost every hose and fuel part and cooling part under the hood...
