NOPE, the jdm came as a 1.8l same as the us spec, but was higher compression, more agressive cams giving it a slightly better hp. The klze was in the Xedos 9 (Mazda 929 & Millenia), Eunos 800 (Mazda 626 & MX-6) - 1998+, Only in Japan.

 

the 1.8 v6 did not have a higher horse power number by any means iirc it only had 140hp or so.



http://www.frankenprobe.com/ this guy's car is insane! He took the car with a stock motor and crazy bolt ons with weight reduction to a low 13 n/a and a mid 12 with a 75 shot. Now as you can see he's built the motor fully and slapped a turbo kit on as well. I can't wait to see what this thing runs now. There are many midly modded 6's and probes running mid to low 14's. You can take a 6 with I/H/E and slap a 50 shot on there and run 13's all day long with a good running motor. God I miss my 6.
