ok i had a thought and was wondering if anyone here had done anything with a mx6 v6 performance wise and wut experiences u have had with the car

That said, i really know nothing about the cars except that my RX7 got spanked by one a while back.

 

Check out mx6.com. Tons of useful info on 1st gens, 2nd gens and all that. Plenty of ppl make decent power with sc mx6's.

 

yeah i know tons about them motors i have one in my mx3 ....preformance wise u can.....

turbo it yourself b/c they dont make a bolt on kit for the v6 but its on that hard to do if u get the turbo mani and downpipe which they do sell for 500. the blocks are good for 600hp... the stock rod pistion combo well i wouldnt put more than 10psi with a walbro 255l fuel pump and millenium S injectors that set up is good for around 260 280hp wire it tuned right.
pacesetter makes headers for around 200.
ACT stage 2 clutch is probly the best clutch for that tranny and runs around 315
EXAUST>Really the best bang for your buck is remove the cat. and resintor and run 2.5in all the way out that motor is so air restricted with the stock exaust.
Millenium (kl03) or klze intake mani. will bolt right up to your motor and with a mild port and polish you will be admazed how much tourqe it brings you,

yeah texas is gay and has emissions so the cat's and that would have to stay... i still haven't found some1 with a hookup to get me around that. but thanks for the info, ill pm u with any questions if i can pick one up within the next month... i get my license again

 

man I hate emissions, thats about the ONLY thing good about florida is we don't have smog testing.

BackOnTopic: Did the MX3 ever come with the 2.5L KLZE? (maybe japan?) I know i've seen swaps before though.

 

yes in oem jdm and europe mx3's came with the 195hp /200 tq 2.5l kl-ze motor .....yeah ive done the swap in one of my mx3's ......ran a 13.9 /w a few mods

 

I got a 94 mx6 V6. If you want the motor for performace you should check out www.mx6.com or www.probetalk.com,TONS of help there. I am not a performance freak so I can't help you much about that. Other than that Its a strong motor and I enjoy driving the 6.
