I think its a oil pressure gauge unit. It pretty much tells your car what your oil PSI is. There easy to replace. Theres only 2 hoses that connect to 2 nipples. One is right on the thing you pour your oil in and the other is underneight your throttle body. How hard the thing is to get i dunno, ive never had to replace mine.

I was looking though th fsm and it says its for emmissions its called purge control valve, not sure what it does. jbwelded it back together havn't had any problems with it but, still have the other problems

Its not the oil sending unit.
Its kinda under and back behind the oil filter,it has one wire going to it.
Im the one who changed the one in your car,I think in about June/July.They last for a long time.
