my buddy has a complete s4 longblock that he got when he bought his 86, the guy said he pulled it from a parts car and it' works but he doesn't know for sure.

Dont' buy a used motor, chances are it is a pos, You do know that it would cost $600 to completely rebuild your old 6port (if no housing damage).
