Even if you get everything at wholesale cost, and do all the labor yourself your looking at $10,000 easy, very easy, and thats without doing any mods to the engine. Or, you could put 10k into a 2 rotor swap and be waayyy faster.

Dam wtf is Smurf trolling the Mazda forums..

Heres what I think on the 20B,Yeah its cool to have one,but I heard they still have alot of tunning problems.

13BT easy to find easy to swap, easy to get good power from

Or you can go with a 13BREW Or 13B Cosmos, but you will need to go single for it to fit, then rewire the whole dam engine bay for one..

shit for 10k you can have a bad ass 13BT ported/huge single/engine/fuel management and the list can go on..

yea, plus, high HP 3 rotors have trouble staying together. the 3-rotors require the "cages" to keep the entire motor from twisting under load. all the rotor housings and irons are held in place by cages that bolt to both sides of the motor. without these, the rotor housings and irons can flex about independantly of one another and can F- up the dowels and bolts.

im not sure the FC frame rails are wide enough for a 20b and the cages, but i know the FD's arent because thats where i first learned of the problmes; a 20B swapped FD.

a motor built like keith's will put out all the HP needed to put that car in the 11's with some sense of reliability...

but again, the rear axles on them cars are a weak link, including the NA trannies. but there is a way to put a toyota tranny on the rotary bell housing... but it has to be shipped from Oz.

btw, Jeff, your fmic-tercooler is crooked!

85 celica tranny = W58...good to like 500'ish horsepower....and toyota's most common tranny that you can get replacement for for pennies
