Jap motor???
I didnt say that there was any size difference, I just meant that its an easy way to tell the difference between engines, since most people dont take off a stock intercooler to swap it for another stock intercooler because it says something different on it.
If its just the block, the internals are the same.
If its just the block, the internals are the same.

what people? who are these "people". the JDM motor doesnt have any emissions control, thats it. it should all look the same physically aside from haveing no emissions component provisions. i dont know how you would be able to tell w/ the engine in the car, the EGR valve would normally sit under the intake manifold. if its got an AIR pump on it, that wont tell you cuz that just injects air into the cat and the ACV. but, ive never messed w/ a T2, so the T2 might not even have an ACV. i know the ACV controls the 6PI on an NA car, but if there is no 6PI, i dont see there being a need for an ACV.
