Jap motor???

Default Jap motor???

I'm buying my brother a carto send to him.. There a turbo 2 i seen and the guy tells me that it has a jap motor.. is there any way to tell if its true or not the motor looks like new, but i just want to make sure so i dont pay more for a car that does have a jap motor.. thanx

All rotarys have a jap motor,it has Hiroshima stamped on them,they were not made in the US,or do you mean J spec?

Sorry i mean j spec.. I have driven other stock turbo 2's and this one feels like it has more power..

So i should look for that on the housings?? I belive i seen an air pump on it ( i think thats what its called, would it have that??

I believe that if its a jdm engine the intercooler will say "rotary turbo" or something like that, when the usdm one says "turbo II", and yeah it wont have egr and stuff, and I believe that the intake manifold is taller, but that might only be the 89-92. If it is a jdm engine it will have a little more power.

Now days everyone and thier mom wants to be "JDM" you used to be able to get the JDM intercoolers on Ebay for $50.

and they are the SAME size as the US ones..
