Your right on the '02 miata's that was my mistake. but, i do see a couple of '99's for under $12,000 in the autotrader and that is supposed to be the "benchmark for all the dynamics" of the Mazdaspeed miata.
But,beside's all that i was just making a general statment that if you want a mazdaspeed miata a faster better built miata can be had for much less coin.IMHO i would never get the mazdaspeed miata if, i were to be in the market for that type of car i would build my own for much less money.That is all

but now would any of us really drive around in a miata? 
Yeah they are fun cars and all, but I think they are best left for girls and gays.
There are alot of other cars I would purchase before a miata, even if it comes with forged pistons and will make 500whp on a stock block.

i think respect is due when its due. Its the same thing with the srt4, everyone says "its still a neon" when actually the chassis is completely different. I just think its odd when people make fun of a car that will be putting the majority of us to shame, which includes me.....[]Deace
