I didn't reach my 10.99 tonight as I had hoped but I did excellent considering the track conditions tonight. There was high humidity and a crap load of dew in the air that made traction a hell of a battle. Last time I went to the track I ran consistent 1.63's with a few 1.60-1.61 60ft's Tonight I was only able to muster a 1.636 but I still managed to best my previous 11.3 with an 11.090.

Two years ago I wanted to buy an Evo. A year and a half ago I finally was able to purchase one. The day I bought it I promised myself that I would get a 10 second run out of the car on the stock turbo and tonight was finally the night!

Today was one heck of a day. Unfortunately I did not hit my 10.3-10.4 goal. The car is most definitely capable, the driver and clutch were the weak links today along with a 15mph headwind . My best 60ft of the day was a 1.61 but regrettably I was locked out of 4th on that run along with at least half of my runs today. Most definitely time for a new Exedy Twin clutch kit. All and all not too bad for a brand new never dialed in setup and an uncooperative clutch. I will be going back in April to another private track event with a few changes to the setup that should allow for more power and hopefully better 60ft's.

Today was a success. I reached my 10.2-10.3 goal with the way my Evo is currently setup.

It appears as if today I have found another weak link. The new found power from the 40psi race gas tune appears to be too much for my 1.5 month old Exedy HD Twin Disc clutch. The first run out of the box was a 10.9@125mph with the clutch slipping nearly through all of 4th gear. I played with the clutch pedal adjustment a bit and it helped some, I then turned the boost down a couple of pounds and the slip was at least bearable at that point to run a 10.301 with a 1.56 60ft. Traction was fantastic today as I was able to get a new PB 60ft 1.500. I am confident if it were not for the clutch issue the car has another 2-3mph in it.

Finally got all of the bugs situated with my setup. Unfortunately, the wind was not on my side today. With fighting a 14mph head wind I was still able to best my previous mph of 132.93mph that was attained with no wind. Based on comparisons of my time slips from today and a previous outing it appears that the wind was affecting the top end by as early as the 600ft mark. Today has put into prospective for me that the FP Red is a fantastic turbo, but does not have enough in it to propel a street car into the 9's. At least not mine. I believe this current setup can break 134-135mph with cooler weather and the wind on my side which should yield an ET of 10.1xx
I am also pleased to report that I was able to achieve my best 60ft today, 1.45. After dialing in the 60ft I was seeing consistent 60's between 1.45-1.50
