There is no doubt that straight from factory pretty much nothing can touch the k series for what it is. As previously stated, it's just a flatout stronger, newer motor with plenty of potential all motor or on forced induction. Sure you can build a B20 vtec or H22 all motor and make around the same power eventually but what your paying for is the new strong out the box technology. With time it will go to lower prices as everything else but their is that "craze" going now and honda's taking advantage of it..much like the b series when it was first introduced
i say K no doubt in the N/a world now but,
Tony Palo and Chris Miller seeing what they have done has made me a firm believer in Turbo B's!
You can't knock B-series, The Honda racing scene was built off these engines.

Very true, but it shouldn't be long before turbo K's are on that level, hopefully.

it was supercharged and beat turbo'ed civics dynoed over 300whp.. one claimed 350whp
it might have been 260 but how great is a turbo gsr that makes 350whp for .5 sec. at 9k rpms.
that car pulled like a mother from the start.. high numbers are over rated usable power is under rated... and to the point it smoked the shit out of any stock k swap and was way cheaper.... 1/2 as much in some cases and way more reliable than any turbo set up i ever seen...

K series will never be the new B series only because of its roots. The B series got us to where we are today, think about it. The K is just the newest thing. The K series is a beast but its on its own level. You cant really compare any of the series motors to eachother they each have something unique. Like different strokes for different folks well everyone has a preference as to what they want. I love the B and its not because I cant afford a K, its just something I want.
