Motor combo sounds sick, I'm eager to see what you put down to the wheels? I have a b17 .25over CTR pistons, ITR Head complete, ITR IN. MAN, ITR TB, and some other goodies, but im expecting, 11.4 compresion in the b17, I also have some ITR Rods but i dont think im gonna use them in the B17, Anyone have any ideas....Any TIPS>>>Thanks

Keith, when did I ever say I had an EG. If Im not mistaken, your the one with a logo of a rx7 with 92cxhatch. LOL. Just bustin your ballz. Anywayz, yea guys I cant wait to see what I put down either. I just dont want too much compression and when I spoke to someone today they stated with CTR pistons with an SI head and GSR block, I may have to retard the ignition timing. Now I have never heard of such a thing. O yea i have CTR intake cam and ITR exhaust cam going in the head with a skunk valvetrain. ITR Intake manifold, 65 mm throttle body, and ill have to add a fuel pressure regulator along with the VAFC I already have (which hasnt helped for crap!!). Thanks for all the replies. I learn as I go.

Here are the "differences" that I know about...

B18c5 (vs....other B series...)
better oil pump
lighter crank?
lighter and stronger rods
pistons are moly coated
Bearing are different (probably either better material or closer specs)
Head is hand P&P
different cams
better springs and retainers
lost motion assembly only has 1 hole instead of 2 (don't know why)
better throttlebody
better intake manifold
Tranny has helicoil LSD
stronger clutch/pp assembly

I think that does it....of course I just came off of a 18 hour shift @ work...so I might have missed something

hmmmm.never looked close @ ITR rods, but since they have a different material make-up, why wouldn't they be stamped P73? (I honestly have no clue....and really need some sleep)

Anywayz, before this conversation was interrupted, I am going to stick with the JDM ITR pistons. they are 11.1 compression ratio with my head. with an 11.5 compression ratio I may have a few problems with fuel and ignition timing from what I am told by some of the tuners in tampa. Other than that, still determining where I can get a skunk manifold cheap.
