The reason they recomend the rods be resized is the fact that most rod bolts have to be pressed into the rods
Which is what can throw the rod out of round. Not the fact that you are putting 3 more ft.lbs. of torque on the caps.
I would resize the rods for the 9mm rod bolts on ls rods, but not the 8mm ones(never had a problem with clearances or out of round with the 8mm ones) they can almost be pushed all the way in by hand.

So i was leaking oil from the sandwich plate and i have fixed that. Now when i start the car up let it idle for 3 min all my oil starts

leaking outta the back side of the motor. everything is brand new. all new gaskets, ARP head studs, cosmetic 84mm gasket, etc.

the head is torqued down to 80lbs. (arp recommended)

After searching over the motor a few times the only thing it could be is the head gasket? anyone else ever have this happen?

just my luck, i have done plenty of swaps without replacing shit and never had a oil leak. Seems when i buy everything new nothing goes
right ......
