Default WHat is the chance that ihave a blown headgasket? (freaking out here)

Ok this is dumb, but issues went form bad to worse today

I finally got my replacement turbo on my d16 again and drove home.

i find i have a slight coolant leak from the turbo when i get home

the stock coolant line wasnt put on tightly so i recut it and reconnected it tightly

i drove around to test it out and i see my engine light do on while on the highway. im like wtf

i pull off the first exit then i realize my temps r thru the roof and my radiator is empty. all the coolant apparently poured out of the coolant feed line on the turbo.

then i drove the longest 8 miles home i ever drove in my life.

i drove home under 2500 rpm the whole way, no spooling, and shutting down my engine on downhills.

there is no smoke coming from my exhaust pipe but there is much white smoke coming from the hood of my car from the coolant evaporating off the manifold, engine etc ( i THINK)

what are the chances ive blown my headgasket? or done any damage to my car?

i ask because ive seen videos of d16s redlined with no coolant or anything and they didnt blow until liek 25-30 minutes in or something ridiculous.

is my d16 done for?

any info would be much appreciated

my friend has a sohc turbo and when his hg went it pushed the coolant to the coolant overflow tank.

you'll know if you did damage to the head - warp damage - when you remove the head to replace the hg if that is what needs to be done. if you did warp the head you may be able to have the head milled to fix it. maybe.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

you probably did blow that head gasket, if it didn't blow yet, it will soon.
