My car is throwing the same code... i've replaced the valve TWICE and now have it unplugged.... my car runs like assballs also.. it bucks/hesitates and acts like it's hitting rev limiter at 2000 rpm's and won't run smoothly until i get it past 2000.... also, it feels like when i hit the gas, it jumps forward, but when i let off slightly it completely cuts off fuel... there is no steady speed cruising... anyone know what's going on to our cars?!?! i've tried everything i could think of...

However, I don't have a fast idle valve.... I have the JG TB with the block off plate... and i've replaced my IACV with two known working ones, and it still has the problem.. however the problem is not a vacuum related problem. more like an electrical signal not letting the injectors open until i push the gas far enough for the motor to sort of "kick in".. there is no slight acceleration, it either goes, or it doesn't... same when letting off of the throttle. and there's that fuel cutt-off sort of thing when rpm's hit around 2000, whether on the throttle or idling (that's another issue... fuck JG)

A vacuum leak or an improperly set TB screw will result in the IACV not being able to remove sufficient air and a code being thrown. Since you have an aftermarket TB my bet would be that a) your TB screw is improerly set or b) your TB plate is not fully closed at idle
The thing that bothers me is, why would the valve throwing a code completely screw up the motor electrically?? I mean I can barely even drive the car the way it is now... I've had problems with iacv's before, and you all know it just creates a high or steady up and down reving of the motor..... I have the valve unplugged now and the problem is still here. I'm starting to go insane thinking about every possibility, and trust me, i've replaced and checked EVERYTHING I could think of... I'm meeting Neil at his shop tomorrow to see if he can figure it out because i'm stumped...
Tampa^Bud, sorry to intrude on your post... did you get the problem fixed? or are you having the same problems as me?
