are you thinking the cluster might be f_ed up and sending bad info to the ecu? I saw that on a crx about a month ago.

Im thinking his ignitor is getting ready to go. I have a couple obd2 dizzy's that are perfect and BNIB set of NGK wires can be used for troubleshooting but im not traveling far...

No the RPM's don't jump, thats why I ruled out the ignitor. It kind of just sits at that RPM but has a bad hesitation.
