Higher RPM sputter?
just go buy the cheap advanced wires... i use them and they work great.. lol

Nah I only do OEM from Honda for ignition stuff. New wires are like $55 but that's a lot to spend just to try something
Yeah looking up symptoms of different things a bad ignitor would make the car die completely and it seems they work when cold and not when hot. So rule that out. Bad coil though its either it won't start but if its failing it will make it run sluggish and rough. Maybe thats it but it is odd its only full throttle and from 4,000 RPM and up. I heard there is a way to test it using resistance. But IDK where you would get the resistance specs of it. I think the best bet might be to find an OBD2 B series VTEC distributor and completely swap out dizzy's. If that doesnt solve it then it has to be the slight crush in the fuel line?
The other things I was thinking of is the MAP sensor vacuum line not hooked up? Its not a boosted car so I can't see that making a difference but who knows. I might try and add another grounding point on the valve cover just in case I was getting a bad ground there even though its like 4 gauge wire.
Alright so... its not the cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, ignitor, or coil which pretty much eliminates the distributor as a problem. The only thing I can think of is the MAP sensor, poor grounding to the valve cover, or lack of fuel from the slight crush in the fuel line/clogged fuel filter. I'm going to try the MAP sensor 1st. Then grounding. Last resort is to re-do the fuel system.
When you had the dizzy apart to check Ohms in coil did you notice a slight red dust in the dizzy?
