sohc boost questions
Blocks are easy to come by. That's what I wanted to do. Don't have thousands for a sohc. I got this motor on accident and I'm trying to make the best of it. Thiers still questions I need answered though. Mainly the comp ratio being so high at 12psi. I'll rep y'all as soon as I get to a pc and not an itouch. Thanks for all the help y'all!
I might make more money, but it will be cheeper for me to have a turbo sohc than what i got now, i mean i dont want to push to much first so im going to keep the stock motor but while im runnin that im going to build another

Use a Y8 transmission, just about the same as an LS trans for a B series which is long but best for the D.
man for once in a long time everybody in here has some valid feedback that actually pertains to the subject at hand!!!
i'd stick with a oem honda gasket, 550cc injectors, a good dp (3") and intercooler setup, and a good tune. if u ever blow it up, just do a vitara piston/eagle rod setup and call it a day. use that motor to get used to having a turbo car.

the y8 tranny is the ex right? or is it lx?
i heard the si would be too short, id just spin and itd suck
and i cant use an oem gasket, theyre too thick, it has too be 0.02, the most thin oem is 0.025
what can i expect mpg wise?
because the stock jdm d15b vtec-e gets crazy gas mileage
and im only gonna be using the bottom end of it..
will evo 9 550 injectors work?
will i have to run a resistor box?
will i have to use a z6 dizzy or will the d15b one work?
i also have an obd0 ls dizzy
and tune wise, im getting my chipped p28, jap tuned

if i'm not mistaken the factory gasket is .030 which will not noticeable decrease your compression plus oem is a better gasket. the evo 9 injectors will work great, you will need a resistor box. i think you will have to match the dizzy to the head you are using, but i'm not sure, i'm sure someone else will chime in.

is a recirculated bov better to use?
like off an evo, or talon
and you sure its better? i heard cometic are alot stronger
and i wanna run it at 8.04:1 so my compression will be as close to 8:1 as possible
what about an hks head gasket?

lol ok ur talking to a vet with the turbo stuff, you will not notice a difference between 8:1 and 8.1:1 in your compression ratio. you should buy a real BOV not a stock part from another car and no ebay bullshit. hondas are MAP sensor cars and do not need to recirc. if you must use a bov off of a stock car use the one off of a 1g eclipse and you have to crush it or it wil leak.
