blower=off the line, instant torque (positive displacment style blowers)
turbo=high end power.
if you are going to be spinning high rpm, don't get a blower.
yes the top fuel dragsters run them, on massive rat blocks, and the blowers have massive displacement...
the turbo is a superior design for power, but it has to spool, and fast spooling turbos are usally not good for top end, or at least not if you want high rpm. its a classic argument, and i believe you could build either to make power, it just depends on how much money and time you have available.

hm yes you do know what you know i dont think rainman is tryin to start shit he is tryin to help you an the peopl who read the rubbish you spew all over this board. Just think rainman an myself were doin this stuff long before you got intersted with cars.

 

no question about it u were doing it before i was...i didnt really get into cars till my cousin got his ac...and i dont mind the help...but when people get mean and ishy about it...i just dunno...i mean if ya gunna correct me i dont care but dont be insultive about it...and i know some of the stuff i put up is wrong and thats just from bad sources i read from or hear from...but whatever life goes on...i still say turbo rules...

 

ure comparing apples to oranges. a 6000hp dragster vs cars, give me a break.

good case in point, all the NMRA guys switched from blowers to turbos and make A LOT more HP, ok there, now we are talking in relation to a car.


or better yet, what NHRA import, or IDRC car holds a national record with a supercharger? none, all are turbo.
