Sorry I'm a little late for this but you need an impact gun to take that bolt out! It's probably rusted in there and if you put a lot of torque at one time on the head of the bolt, it's going to snap off! Then you'll need a new control arm and most likely a new shock!

It is a typical problem with those bolts getting "welded" to the sleeve for the bushing. They rust so bad that they will get permanently stuck together. I have ran into them where they wont even come out and we had to actually cut the bolt to remove it and buy a new lower control arm.

I'm assuming you tried a good penitration oil? Did you try heat? That happens all the time with our offroading trucks.

If anything use a good impact, might start movin

or how about you put the nut on half way and hit the fuck out of it with a big fucking hammer while your partner has a impact wrench on the other side, with the bolt smothered and covered in penitrating oil??

The nut is welded to the other side of the shock... Stick to your off-roading trucks...

O.P. Use a good/ powerful impact gun and you should be set...

The BOLT is not welded in there, the BOLT is seized in there, never said anything about a nut, and if you look at the picture its clearly a bolt.... Stick to learning how to read.

If there is a nut on the other size, and its already off, you can place the nut back on there almost all the way and start hitting it with a hammer, it will fuck up the nut, but it wont damage the bolt... or atleast it wont mushroom out the bolt. Doing that, while having a friend on the other end with a impact might break it free.

Yea it isn't "welded" in there lol...I said welded because the two pieces of metal rust so badly that they fuse themselves together...Brandon is correct.

i attempted it tonight with the help of a friend and still nothing, we got it too move but then it broke the socket...

i also tried my cheating method of just removing the spring and that failed too. the dust cover refused to come off and that kept the spring on as well. i just said fuck it and put it all back together.
