Yeah but you said comp was 60 and that means their is a leak somewhere. You put oil in cylinder then it jumper to 120. That is an indication of the rings but, best bet would be to get a compression tester with the removable hose and take out the valve stem core, screw it into the spark plug hole and hook a air compressor to it and find the leak. You will need someone to help so they can put a socket on the crank pulley and rotate it slightly to close all valves other wise under heavy air pressure it will rotate a little and flow out the exhaust or intake.

Advise.... Hook the air up before you put the ratchet on the crank pulley.

 

Why not just pull your block and have rang redo the short block?

 

BTW The rings go in a certain way. Their is a diff from top ring to middle and each ring has a certain side that is supposed to face up.

 

i know. i bought the npr rings and i wouldnt put them on blind. there were marks on each of them. and the bag that said "first" went in the first ringland. "second" in the second and the oil ring went on with both the rings about it. on top and bottom.

 

and as for me pullin gthe shortblock... thats one more time my dang motor needs to come out... i just dont see how it can be the actually bottom end. everything is new and was put in right. the head is perfect. As rang said as, as well as me, we think it has to be a wire or some type of sensor..

 

yeah his motors crazy the reason i was thinking wireing is the motor does nothing,i mean not even a backfire or burp from misfire he has fuel and timing is right..but i think the builder had to have done something wrong,,i have never seen a new freash motor so fucking had to turn by hand..i mean his motor is like trying to undo a axle nut you have to put so much force on the crank bolt just to turn it by hand,i wouls like him to try a new mainrelay first just to see but as for not starting im stumped

 

What motor is it? Is it a b17?

^+1 for the builder not doing something right. and the motor shouldn't be that hard to turn without the plugs in it, even with it should spin with a rachet on it.

 

The motor is built properly i assure you ive built many and they all ran perfectly fine , he brought me a box of parts and i assembled accordingly / my motor building is not the issue i promise
