honestly its not that hard... get a dingel barry honer (auto zone, napa, car quest about $70 for it )... make sure you use an air drill it doesnt spinn at such rshared_pm as a corded or cordless drill witch will help with hatching use an oil to lube it wit wd or a high weight oil works... make sure not to go to far down and hit the crank if its still installed start at the top work up and down for about 15 sec's each bore... its not that hard ive done plenty of them and havent had any issues... the only thing that sucks is the price of the honer if you dont have one spending $70 sucks if your only using it one time so call around and you might be able to find a shop that can do it for around $100 so may just want them to do it if you dont plan on doing it anymore...

Take it to napa u will be happy..I have myself have never and would never do it myself only a machine can do it right and u need to keep cleaner on it at all times when doing it or else it will get grooves..just cause it looks shiny when people hone it themselves does not make it done right

Its easy just get the proper grit consult the helms manual for oem rings or call the ring mfg for aftermarket.

I've personally honed quite a few Honda and BMW blocks myself and never had a problem with ring seal. The only ones I would not attempt to do myself are the FRM sleeves. If you got a junk block or know someone who does then just give a try on that one try to get a feel for the speed (up and down) needed to get the right 60 degree angle crosshatch. 10 seconds should be all the time you need per bore. After hone wipe cylinder walls down with rag and water, then rag and soapy water and then finally dry and oil the walls to prevent rusting. Do not use a solvent (brake parts cleaner) to clean the walls after a hone.
