The fan comes on when i turn the car on cold. it stays on and never turns off. I am going to replace the one wire sensor tomorrow. Will post and let you know if the problem is solved. Thanks. You seem to know alot, can you tell me why my car idles at about 200 on a cold start? It doesn't idle high when cold. Can you tell me what it could be?

the temp sensor is why your car idles weird. and if the fan never shuts off, someone prolly nigerrigged it because they couldnt figure out what the problem is. that too could be why vtec never engages. if it never gets warm enough, no vtec. also why would you change every sensor except the one you have a code for?

first reset your ecu to see if you still get the code.

and i could be wrong but i know on d-series motors the non-vtec ones came with a oil restrictor in the block and if you motor had one and it was not taken out it can be another problem.

the block that was used was an f22a1, the original was an f22b. I checked for oil flow to the vtec solenoid, and the shit spouted up like old faithful. My car idles low when cold. Someone told me that the ecu is reading that the car is hot, that is why the idle is low. Any ideas?

first off the one wire is for your gauge then you have two wires for fan switch and two wires for ect sensor. Was the new block you got vtec? If not it doest have the oil passage to the head to engage vtec like ls vtec have to run a oil line to the head.switch the 2 two wire plugs around
