Try the throttle body gasket.. My friend threw every part at his sohc, and it was just a gasket

make sure the throttle body cable is routed right. if its just laying around and moves around it can cause idle issues

What year is your head from.. check for the air injection holes on the y8 intake manifold (if your using it). They will cause a serious vacuum leak.
