I have somewhat of the same prob. in my 93 civic EX it shifts
in 3rd nice but has that little grind when I speed shift it but
when I am just driving around and not racing it...its fine I was
ok with this but now you guys have got me wondering about
this and I have not replaced a syncro befor Im sure its not
anymore of a pain in the but then when I replaced a auto
tranny to a 5spd in a 90 teg so I was thinking it was just my
shift time was not fast enough and was going to get a short
shifter but now......Im not sure jeeeesss thanks

I hate to ask but is there anyone out there who can help me
with this I do most anything with cars but I have never done
a syncro swap and everyone tells me its a bitch so if anyone
can help please please please help!!!!! I dont want to just
stair at it blankly

I wouldnt worry too much about it right now. I have come to learn that pretty much all hondas have a little grind in 3rd when you shift at high rpms. If the problem progresses and the grinding gets worse then I would start thinking about getting it checked out.

 

very cool you have eased my mind quit a bit thanks I will be
looking into a y8 tranny swap but right know I will just take it
easy besides i have a new mods for my car not for speed
but its kinda neat looking

Speed shifting isnt good for the tranny so if you keep doing it your gonna need those syncros sooner then later. just a thought.
