Im thinking of swapping an HX tranny on my turbo EX motor since the HX has a longer gear ratio(better for turbo more boost time per gear). My EX tranny on 1st gear is soo short everytime i punch it theres this weird sound like its misfiring because the boost was soo quick and the gears are short and does anyone know if the HX tranny will bolt right on with no/few mods?? And where can i find it(LOCALLY)?? thanks guys

It will bolt up no problem assuming your car is already running a hydro clutch type tranny. I think it is a good idea but you should first check to make sure the syncros in the hx tranny are as strong in the lower gears as the ex ones.

I was told that the HX trannys since they use belts and chains etc wont hold up as long under high hp loads.
