supercharged d15b timing question

Default supercharged d15b timing question

i just put an aem cam gear on my supercharged d15b and i was told to "severely retard my timing" well how severe is "severely"? it ranges from 0-10 degrees both directions. thanks for the help

let the tuner do it. Many people act like they know but, they dont. Get it tuned and the tuner will do it.

right i was going to let them do it for good but just until i can get it there what should i do...just leave it at 0 or should i retard it a few degrees

Adjusting your cam timing isn't what they were referring to.
You should simply leave everything at stock settings & have the vehicle professionally tuned.

DO NOT touch your cam timing, leave it at 0 until your on the dyno with your tuner.

thanks guys so if i just 0 out the timing i can drive it til i get it tuned as long as i dont drive it hard?

Shouldn't even have bought the cam gear.. could have retarded it with your disturbutor.. do you even have a timing gun?
