I would recommend my self or any of the tuners listed on the honda/acura tuner list https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/h...directory.html

Remember, you get what you pay for...

So you mean to tell me you will dyno tune his car for under $200?

I was just saying what you said...it doesn't cost $600 to tune a car.

Me personally, no I wouldn't tune the car for under $200.
If a person wants to try and buy a tune for the price of a happy meal, let it be

Some people favor one tuner over another because their friend's with a friend of a friend who knows the tuner. Others choose a tuner over the price. It's all a bunch of bs.

To the original poster. Do your own research, interview each tuner on the phone & choose which ever tuner you are comfortable with.

Your right...my cost is a happy meal tune because I have no idea what I am doing...I wasn't talking crap about you so please don't say anything disrespectful about me. You don't know my abilities to tune. I know you are a good tuner and would never rag on a price that you quote. I was just shocked about what I "thought" you were saying about dyno tuning a car for under $200 which I did NOT think you would do but I thought you were stating you would do it for that cheap.

OP...do what mtber said and talk with each tuner and ask why you should choose them over another tuner. Ask them to show you proof of their work and ask what type of "warranty" will come with their tune. Choose whatever one sounds best to you...just don't cheap out completely on a tune because the tune is like you heart...if it isn't good you die (and so does your motor).

i think $400 for a tune is way over priced IMO, yea you get what you pay for, but if the dyno cost 60bucks an hour and then your tuner gets 150-300 per hr is garbage, JAP dan tuned my car for $150, he did not grab me by the balls tell me its going to be $25000 or my car is going to blow up.. he said this is what i have to do this how long its going to take and charged me a reasonable amount... its been awhile and the car is still runing, SOME TUNERS HERE WONT EVEN CALL YOU BACK after they charge you a million bucks and its still not working.

scaring people in to paying over 500 for a tune is just not right. there is more then one or 2 people in this world that can tune a car.. find someone who is realistic and don't be afraid to leave the tampa/orlando area if you can.. cause thats where you start to find the normal prices for tuning - away from here

this isn't aimed at anyone just what i think and i have more then a few tunes

Sweet, thanks for clearing that up.

I wasn't directing my comment to you, just the local industry in general.

Not trying to put you out there Mtber, just trying not to look like i'm crazy. Kinda new to TR so trying to save face. I save my email quote I recieved from you about my car.

You would need to have the car dyno tuned with an actual engine managent system which has nitrous control.
You may not see huge gains by having the car tuned. I would have to strap the car down & tune it to get an idea as to if the issue is the motor or the tuning.

Pricing on a full tune all motor + nitrous would run $600 plus the cost of what ever engine management system we used plus any setup fees for switches/relays to wire the system into the engine management system such as a hondata s300.

If this is something you are interested in, contact me for further pricing.

Thank You,
John Vega - Phearable.net

Maybe when you said all motor + nitrous, you meant two seperate tunes? You know you stuff and your highy recommended from everyone one I know. I'm not questioning you and your price cause like you said "you get what you pay for". With the 150+ cars that you listed that you have tuned, I think you MIGHT know what your doing lol. As far as what you said your not that expensive... doesn't phearable.net list a dyno tune for $500 and a street tune for $200?

I think your charged me like $550 for a full dyno eCtune when you tuned my ls turbo. Shop around lots of good tuners in the area. After a phearable.net tune the car did run good and was quick.

The original poster has a supercharged vehicle, not a nitrous vehicle, hence the statement, it does not cost $600.

If you think a full dyno tune on eCtune is expensive, try going to a hondata s100 or s300 module plus dyno tuning, now that is expensive lol.

The price you were quoted includes setting up a relay system for your nitrous system to work with the dual mapping/nitrous control. Furthermore, nitrous vehicles take longer to tune due to the fact that you tune them on an all motor tune, then add nitrous using nitrous control/dual mapping etc.

To the OP:
At the end of the day, think about who you are going to have handling your vehicle & who is actually going to stand behind their work. Do you want a felon tuning your car while he is high??? Do you want someone you can get a hold of & that doesn't disappear every once and a while tuning your car ???

Within 3 weeks our pricing should be a little lower with a new facility/dyno.
