a honda with that type of stuff most likely has forced induction and there for doesnt have a problem with low end torque.

no replacement for displacement

hp is calculated from torque

hp = (rpm * torque) / 5252

on a dyno graph horsepower and torque will always be the same at 5252rpm

exactly hp is only a function of and measured by torque. torque at the low end comes from pure displacement while hp can come from a number of sources the easiest being compression. example my TA i had back in highschool made well over 500 ft/lbs but only made prob 300 hp and it weighed over 4k with a th350. it was a total of 8.3 litre but my current honda would kill it. all that torque was on the low end. the current 4 cylinder and other small displ motors instead rely on tuning and specific output. can you imagine the power that motor would have made with the same ratio?? but thats a matter for another discussion. just remember our little 4s are in a different classification.

ps i have beat many a GT in my day.
