Whats the deal with these Honda Owners?

I regaurds to the post under Verbal Warefare about The Miatas being slow. (this deal with my comment down toward the end.)
Why is it that Every Honda owner that does a motor swap thinks that there car is still stock. The only fast stock honda is the S2000 and if you wanna include acuras a type R teg. Sure I could put a Vr8 in my car and spank all of those guys. Fact is a Honda with a swap is not a stock car. Personally Ive only seen one Honda out at the races that is really impressive. That happens to be Neil with the red CRX.
Its not that I dont like hondas Im just tired off all the crap that they say. They fastest civic with a factory motor Ive ever seen runs a 14.8 all motor. Not very impressive since a Vr6 can easily accomplish that.

Just let them think what they want. They look at it from the point of using all factory components. So in a sense they are using stock parts (ok its a long shot). What fun is using factory components? Most of the time they cost the same as aftermarket!
As for a Civic doing 14.8. That may be good for them. Remember a VR6 has about a 1L/2cyl. advantage. So it can accomplish that task easier.
As for the S2000. Talk about a boring car. I went for a ride in one and the word thrilling didnt come to mind. Yes it is fast but it didnt have that surge which shoves you back in your seat. Maybe thats because it has less torque than my VR6.

Tell me about it the swappers/stockers that it. I get tired of the carp. I thikn they do it just to goad a raceand then win like it was gonna be a challeng. ANd the s2ks power peak is like 17000 rpms or somehtign so no you wont feel a damn thingon the street.

Ive seen some pretty shitty ass VWs and if you saw them perhaps youd agree. Ive also seen alot of pretty shitty Hondas. Still I dont go hating on Acme (who is a friend of mine) cause he drives a VW and he doesnt hate on me cause I drive a Honda.
Oh yeah and 14.8 is not fast to everyone with a Honda son. My car was never fast and it bested with consistant 13.6s with only 1.6litres of displacement.
Another thing - the S2000 is not fast either. John got a best of a 13.8 out of his modified. We just had one cause it was a nice car and fun to drive. Kicked the shit out of people in the turns though.

The main problem with 90% of honda owners is the fact that they are dillusional. They see Steph P. running 8s in a Civic and they think their Civic is fast too cause its the same car. Obviously its not true.
The S2000 takes a skilled driver to be driven fast. But a drag racer its not. But I have yet to see any kraut car that can hang with it in the turns (zipping up the nomex).
But is it fair to stereotype? Im tired of the honda haters. Judge us not by our cars but by our merits.

QuickF20C I doubt that you will ever see a VW handle like a S2000. They werent designed to. And you probably wont in the future either until VW gets their head out of their ass. They are too concerned with the poshness of their cars rather than performance. Right now VW Jettas hold the place of the Poor mans Bimmer.
Personaly Im not a fan of Hondas in general. I have nothing against those that do like them. Every car has its enthusiasts. If you two can get 13.6s from your cars thats great. I know my GTI will probably never see that kind of time. Id be lucky to break 15s.
