btw-- i usually only change mine every 4-5k or so sometimes sooner. Honda says 7500miles so i think 5 is more than reasonable.

I use mobil one non synthetic(for the same reasons..recycling) and change it every 2500 but i am anal about my car and i beat the shit out of it top end a lot honda says 7500 which could work if you drive like grandma but they dont want your car to last as long as you do its a $15 safeguard....cheap and effective...hamp filters/mobil one.
