valve springs needed?

i am about to install ctr cams into my b16 head will i still need itr valve springs even if i only rev to 8200? i read an article on the hybrid forum where they said that spoon says you dont need itr valve springs as long as you dont raise the rev limiter. do you guys agree?

If you cant afford to do it right dont do it.
Why even risk floating a valve when you can easily prevent by upgrading the valve train?

What the fuck do you want a cookie for askin your question?
Youre planning on running an intake/exhaust cam with just about 1mm more lift than your current cam and youre wondering if you should upgrade the valvetrain...na fuckin Honda just does it for shits and giggles...

i know they do upgrade the valvetrain for a reason but that cam is designed to be reved higher then i will be reving it and i didnt know if that would change things.

maybe one day i will be as cool as you ill keep trying

Honda doesnt spend mad money on R&D for nothing get inners and take your intake side outers and put them on the exhaust side same as itr. But I recommend all new as if you ever do plan to go higher you can w/out messing with the head a second time for the same job when it could be done the first time.
