I dont even know if there are any other 1.8T owners on this list beside Jim and I but...

I just installed me Bailey valve from AWE. The main thing I noticed was that the power does not drop off nearly as bad after the peak at 3500 rpm. It seems to hold the boost a little better. Has anyone else used a different valve? What do you use Jim?

Bailey valve? Umm is that a blow-off valve or wastegate? Ive never heard that term used before.

I have not had any problems with the stock DV. the power is great I dont notice much of a TQ drop until after 4500. maybe your transverse engine has a slightly different TQ curve.

Joe - Bailey Motorsports is a British company that makes a replacement for the factory diverter valve (blow-off valve).

Jim - Heres my dyno curve:

Have you dynoed your car? If so how does the curve compare? My stock DV made the infamous honking noise as soon as I bought the car. I replaced that with the Porsche valve which solved the honking problem.

As far as I know its just the normal APR chip. I just got my new VDO Vision boost gauge so this weekend Ill be able to tell you exactly how much boost my car is running. My old VDO Cockpit boost gauge would bounce between 15 and 25PSI.
