Some of the earlier LS/vtec setups were having oil leak problems but really that was about it. If done right an LS/vtec setup can be extremely reliable. As for achieving 12 second slips youll need a little more than a vtec head and some bolt ons especially in an integra. A 2.0L isnt a bad idea. I would have your block resleeved to 84mm add a low compression piston keep your ls head and tranny and add a turbo setup. That would give you tons of torque as it is a heavier car and as long as you keep your boost levels at a fairly reasonable level on the street you shouldnt sacrafice reliability. But hey whos to say what is better than anything else? Good luck with whatever route you go.

I agree. Making a Honda fast is easy. You just need to start with one of the two

1. A light car

2. a lot of power

You dont have a light car...[/b][/quote]

I think Im actually understanding where you are going with this. so the lighter cars are better for the N/A because they are light enough to run low times with a small n/a motor. on the other hand with a heavier car you need the forced induction to get low time slips correct? sorry if Im asking alot of damn questions. Im just getting into the import scene. Still trying to learn alot. So right now looks like Im going to bore the 1.8 to a 2.0 put in some low compression pistons and a nice turbo system to compliment the 2.0. now comes the part of what size turbo. I was thinking T3/T4. how does this sound???????????? Thanks again for everyones help!!!!!

just dont get a UNIVERSAL turbo setup go somewhere and get a custom one if your already dishing out tha cash.
shouldnt be to much more. but well worth it.
keep it around 8-12 lbs boost and u should be ok.
i would set it at 8 for street. if u get some rods and good pistons maybe 10-12. but hey you could set it at 15 and still be ok? hehe.

A T3/T4 seems to have become the sandard setup for a streetable turbo car. That would probably be your best bet. Because it is so popular already thats going to make it easier to tune your car because youll have more resources. Just make sure you sit down with someone who is about as close to an expert as you can find. Keep in mind that with a turbo youll get a lot more power but youre also adding a lot more moving parts into the equation which means more stuff to go wrong. As long as you dont cut corners and do everything right the first time youll be totally happy with the results.

I think Ive made my decision. Im going to go ahead and bore the block to a 2.0 put in the crv pistons and throw in some new rods while at it. Then once that is complete Im going to save up for the T3/T4. I was speaking with a guy about purchasing one. He brought up the name of a brand called Fmax. said not really known but are very good. Has anyone heard anything about them? They come with a FMIC that really got my attention!!!! Anyones feedback on the Fmax t3/t4 turbos or any other suggestions will be very helpful thanks!!!!!

I dont like the way Fmax enrichens the mixture. Other than that from what Ive heard its a decent kit. Still though Id just source the shit myself if I ever went the FI route and make sure Im not compromising on anything.
As for boring youd better go the resleeving route. With a 85mm bore youll be well into 2.0L territory but I didnt think CRV pistons were offered with a 1mm oversized option. Still though why would you even bother with CRV pistions?
