i will... LOOK im not arguing that it COULDN'T happen im just saying that it fucken didn't .. i know simple fucken machinics.. and by knowing that.. and all of the symptoms my motor has a frucken cracked piston is not one of the leading causes on my list to rule out.. compression is even yet low across the board.. if i had a cracked piston my compression would go 120 120 120 15 . tommorow im going to thuroughly check my timing ill keep u guys posted

LOL! A bore scope would be helpful in a situation such as this.

I never said you cracked a piston. I was just stating a p28 obd1 ecu for a d16z6 single overhead cam motor is not good for a modded LS. Wether you do it on your setups thats your business. I was just stating I would never do it, nor do I advise anyone to do this. I think youre doing a great thing by getting the p28 socketed and chipped with LS basemaps. Whats the CEL its throwing?

It really does sound like it jumped timing. Since your compression is all pretty much the same across the board. If you crack a piston, or spin a main/rod bearing, and/or throw a rod you will see a radically low number depending on how bad compression is leaking out that cylinder if there is any. Now, you really should list the CELs you are throwing because some will be because of things that will make your car run like shit. YBlegal, if you ask anyone around here that is good with hondas they will tell you to not use single cam ECUs on dual cam motors. Yea it might work, but beating the crap out of it and redlining it is just asking for trouble.

ahh why the fuck didnt i think of that!! of course!! set the timing at tdc cyl 1 and then recheck compression. when mine jumped timing the compression was at ZERO! and i set it at 180* off on the side of the road and it was still at ZERO!! lol so i ended up pullin the head for nothin. but u get the idea.

i understand that driving my car around with the p28 was an unwise decision
and thats why im getting the base map or if any one has a pr4 ecu and want to throw cash on top for my p28 thatd be awesome . first thing on my list of things to do tomorrow is the timing..

I used a stock P28 on my B16 for about 3 months but then again the P28 is for a single cam vtec. It worked fine other than the vtec came on at 5k and my motor didnt need it to come on till 5700, so it bogged in vtec until it got to the correct crossover point(5700). That was yrs ago though. Im sure your throwing code 22(vtec sensor) cause its a LS.
