Turbo SOHC Eagle Rods Gone bad
Looks like if it didnt seize and cause the break in the rod then after the bolts snapped the crank went down, came back up and smash the edge of the rod, kinking it sideways like that. DAMN.

over tightening eats up bearings which equals the part getting super hot leading to the breaking of the main cap and rod bolts

Hey not the first time I seen that. I completely snapped an eagle rod on a SOHC a couple months back. Turns out that when I notched the block to fit the eagle rods, the rod kept hitting it slightly and after dumping 25 psi on it after 2 months it broke. That actually looks like it might be the same situation from what I can see from the picture.
